Ingredients :

- 30 cl of beef broth
- 1 large can of red beans, drained
- 2 teaspoons of cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 2 onions
- 50g butter
- 2 cloves of garlic, crushed
- 500 g ground beef
- 65 g of tomato paste
Instructions :
STEP 1: Preheating the oven
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (thermostat 6).
STEP 2: Preparing the ingredients
- Chop the onions and crush the garlic cloves.
STEP 3: Cooking the onions and garlic
- In a cast iron casserole dish, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onions and crushed garlic, then gently brown until translucent.
STEP 4: Cooking the beef
- Add the ground beef to the casserole dish.
- Cook gently for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
STEP 5: Adding spices and other ingredients
- Mix chili powder, cumin powder and tomato paste.
- Add this mixture to the cooked beef.
- Add the drained red beans, beef broth, salt and pepper to taste.
- Stir well to mix all the ingredients well.
STEP 6: Bake
- Cover the casserole dish and cook in a preheated oven at 180°C for 25 minutes.
Training and Service
- Remove the casserole dish from the oven and stir the chili.
- Serve hot, decorated with chopped fresh parsley.
